Mindshare Promotions negotiated radio promotion opportunities for all radio stations purchased by GroupM Local Broadcast to promote the release of Cantinflas which opened on Friday August 29, 2014
There were 43 stations purchased in 22 markets. Mindshare was able to get all of the stations to participate in a promotional activity for Cantinflas, however 6 stations were only able to distribute premiums at station events without on air, digital or social support.
PROMOTION DESCRIPTION There were two promotion executions placed on these stations. THE CANTINFLAS FAMILY PHOTO Every family has a little Cantinflas in them, right? But what if EVERY member of your family was Cantinflas? Just get everyone dressed up like Cantinflas … in baggy pants and shirt, floppy hat, a rope for a belt, and his distinctive mustache, take a photo and send it into the station. Each day one of the photos will be selected as the “daily winner” and that family receives a four pack of tickets to see Cantinflas with one family being chosen to win the grand prize of $250! Don’t have the costumes for it? Don’t worry, we will provide you a “Cantinflas Photo Template” which will let your kids Photoshop your faces into Cantinflas Costumes to submit for the contest. It makes a great keepsake! OR you can use the “Cantinflas Head On a Stick” we will provide at events to take pictures of listeners to enter into the contest. CANTINFLAS QUIZ SHOW Listeners call in and are read two phrases. They have to choose which one is the “Cantinflada”. They choose correctly, they win $25 … (SFX Cheering and Music!) … then they can choose to increase their money or quit while they are ahead. 2 right $50 … three right $75 … all four right $100. But if they fail at any point they get NOTHING! All players receive a pair of passes to the movie and a Cantinflas Movie Poster. PROMOTION DATES The movie opens to the public on Friday August 29th and all promotions have to take place during the two weeks prior to the movie opening (weeks of August 18 and August 25) and end by midnight, Friday August 29th. RECAP SUMMARY Mindshare Promotions was able to gather recap proof of performance from 37 of the 43 stations. The six stations that were not able to provide us with an on air, digital or social promotion were provided with premiums (posters, Cantinflas Head On A Sticks) which they distrubted at station events. However, none of these stations were able to provide us with photos of the premium distribution.
