Qatar Airways DFW Launch - Texas Rangers Baseball Sponsorship
Mindshare Promotions explored events and promotional opportunities specific to Dallas and the markets feeding the DFW to Doha Route. We searched for events that would appeal to the Business Traveler or the more affluent High End Leisure Travelers.
Mindshare created a 3 month partnership with ESPN Radio in Dallas that targeted their captive audience of Rangers fans. Qatar was a sponsor of Opening Day at the Globe Life Park in Arlington on April 30, 2014. Qatar Airways was also the title sponsor of the entire 3-hour afternoon show on June 13 and June 25. The station held broadcasts live at the Owner’s Box at the Omni Hotel in Dallas and in Fort Worth from 3-6p hosted by Matt Mosley and Tim Cowlishaw. Qatar had signage in the broadcast area as well as a table setup where they hosted an airline ticket giveaway for two. Qatar received names and claims, as well as promotional mentions throughout and leading up to the broadcast. In addition, they received mentions on Twitter/Facebook the day of each event.
