USMC Bayou Classic Sponsorship 2013, New Orleans, LA
The intent of partnership between the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the Bayou Classic is to increase awareness and consideration to join the Marine Corps among the audience of more than 200,000 African American prospects and influencers who attend this week-long event. As with all Targeted Partnerships, the objective of this direct engagement will be to raise awareness of educational and career opportunities and increase audience consideration of the Marine Corps as an aspirational service option. Mindshare partnered with WQUE-FM/WYLD-FM, the top ranked Urban AC stations in New Orleans to create a "call to action" for listeners to go to the stations' websites to learn more about the Marines sponsorship of the event and how to get game tickets. In addition, we used radio to build awareness of Marines partnerships with Diversity-focused organizations and events among members, supporters, and/or attendees of key organizations/events. |
